I was on this trip in 2019. Only the most wonderful impressions! Really the end of the earth (or the beginning?)... Stunning exotic nature, the most interesting history of these places, unusual local cuisine - sort of Russian, but there are a lot of Korean dishes. By the way, Korean carrots appeared precisely in the Kuril Islands, when the Japanese brought Korean slaves here, and they did not have the usual ingredients for their dishes. And also a variety of fish and seafood, which are fresh, just caught. The organization of all movements, excursions and accommodation is beyond praise! On a ship from Iturup to Kunashir, I recommend booking the captain's cabin. Slightly more expen...

I traveled with them to Sakhalin and the Kuril Islands - Shikotan, Kunashir and Iturup. Incredibly, stunningly beautiful, how harsh, how soulful the places are. Our Far East is beautiful, I recommend it to everyone without exception.

In June 2025 we took a tour to Sakhalin. The trip left an unforgettable, very vivid impression. Magnificent rugged nature, the sea, gorgeous corners of untouched nature, the beautiful Aniva lighthouse, everywhere we were fed with local marine specialties. The tour is eventful and well organized. From morning to evening we enjoyed traveling, and in the evening, tired, we came to rest in a cozy room at the Mega Palace Hotel overlooking the ski resort and a very well-maintained recreation park.

I have been cooperating with the tour operator Adventure Guide for several years now. This year my active excursion tour was in the east of Russia, to Sakhalin and the Kuril Islands. The tour was called "Necklace of the Kuril Ridge". A perfectly organized and interesting route to this amazing region. Interesting, well-prepared guides. Modern, small hotels, excellent food (fish and fish dishes, Sakhalin delicacies - scallops, oysters, red caviar and of course, crabs). All this made me very happy. Many thanks to Olga Terekhina, who recommended this route to me and to the tour operator for arranging such trips around our Motherland.
