TOUR ITINERARY
Day 1. Arrival to Kamchatka
Meeting in the airport, transfer to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky (25 km).
Accommodation in the hotel Arseniev.
Rest, walking to the city.
Information meeting with the guide, discussion of the program (at 20:00 or after check-in).

Day 2. Two-day tour with tents: ascent to Gorely volcano
Breakfast.
Two-day tour in the area of the South Kamchatka Park:
drive over the Vilyuchinsky Pass (120 km, about 2.5 hours) and through the giant caldera of Gorely Volcano to the foot of the volcano.
Ascent to Gorely volcano (1829 m), moving along the lava flow, slag fields, visiting 3 craters with lakes (the excursion lasts 5-6 hours).
Meals: lunch-boxes, hot tea.
Setting up the tent camping, dinner in tent-dining room.
Overnight in tents.

Day 3. Ascent to the crater of Mutnovsky Volcano. Transfer to Paratunka
Breakfast.
On this day we plan climbing into the crater of Mutnovsky Volcano, with inspection of active fumaroles, mud siphons and a mountain lake. Duration is about from 6 to 10 hours, depending on the period of the tour and the condition of the access road.
* Ascent depends on the road condition and can be changed to Dachnie springs' excursion.
Trekking excursion to the Dachnie fumarolic mud boiling springs (tourists call this place «Small Valley of Geysers»).
During the walk you will see the famous geothermal station located on the slope of Mutnovsky volcano, which has been supplying electricity to the settlements of Kamchatka for several decades.
Also on this day it is possible to visit the waterfall «Kosy Veroniki» on Spokoiny brook.
In the evening transfer to the recreation center in the resort area Paratunka.

Day 4. Optional helicopter excursions
Breakfast.
Today it is possible to take part in optional helicopter excursions:
– helicopter excursion to the Geyser Valley and Uzon Caldera (trekking with lunch-picnic, bathing in hot springs).
– helicopter excursion «The Bears of Kuril Lake».
In the evening transfer to Milkovo village (280 km, 3–4 hours).
Dinner in Sokochi village (paid on spot independent).

Day 5. Kluchevskaya volcanoes group
Breakfast.
Transfer by cross-country vehicle to the area of the Kluchevskaya volcanoes group (240 km, 6–7 hours).
Arrival to the foot of the beautiful volcanic massif, formed by volcanoes Ostry and Plosky Tolbachik.
On the way in a good weather you can see the highest volcanoes of Kamchatka: Krestovsky (4057 m), Ushkovsky (3903 m), Kluchevskaya Sopka (4750 m), Kamen (4579 m), Plosky Tolbachik (3082 m) and Ostry Tolbachik (3672 m).
Setting the tent camp.
Easy acclimatization walk (1–1.5 hours) along the spurs of the mountain Kleshnya. Photographing ground squirrels, who begging for treats, come at arm's length.

Day 6. Trekking to the place of eruption
Breakfast.
Trekking (5–6 hours) with inspection and survey of the consequences of the most powerful eruption of 2013: the «young» cone Naboka, extensive fresh lava flows, giant volcanic bombs, caves (lava flow), stone sculptures and piles of frozen lava.
Lunch-snack on black frozen lava slabs.
Return to the camp. Dinner.

Day 7. The North and South breakthroughs
Breakfast.
Transfer by car to the North breakthrough.
Climbing to Tolbachik cones, which are volcanoes in miniature, height is 100–200 meters.
Despite the fact that the cones were formed by the 1975 eruption, there are still several hot spots on the summit where you can light a dry wood chip by simply placing it in a glowing crac.
Moving to the South breakthrough (10 km). Visit the cone Star.
Returning to the camp, overnight in tents.

Day 8. «Dead wood»
Breakfast.
Walk to the «Dead wood» destroyed by cinder and ash eruptions in 1975.
Moving to Milkovo village located on the Kamchatka River shore (240 km, 6–7 hours).
Accommodation in the hotel Geolog. Dinner.
Walking around one of the oldest settlements of the Kamchatka region, founded on the ostrog of Itelmen – the indigenous inhabitants of Kamchatka in the XVIII century.

Day 9. Ethnographic Museum. Rafting with fishing
Breakfast.
Excursion to the Ethnographic Museum of the Kamchatka River’s aborigenes.
Transfer to the Malka village on the vehicle (4 WD, 170 km).
Lunch-picnic (salmon fish dishes).
Rafting with fishing (2–3 hours).
Transfer to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky (130 km).

Day 10. Boat trip to Avacha Bay, fishing

Boat trip with fishing to Avacha Bay (5–6 hours, in a combined group). Observing nesting places of sea birds, Babushkin Kamen Island, Three brothers rocks.
Moving to the Pacific ocean to Starichkov Island.
Sea fishing by rods: turpentine, sea bass, flounder. Chance to meet orcas, whales, seals or dolphins.
Lunch with fish soup, crabs and other seafood.
* Possible to change for Sea cruise to Russkaya Bay, chance to meet sea lions, whales (additional payment 8 000 rubles per person / 10 hours).
