Day 1
Arrival in Ulaanbaatar: Getting to Know the Capital

01:00 Arrival in Ulaanbaatar by flight. Transfer to the hotel and early check-in (50 km by minibus).
Accommodation at hotel Nine Ulaanbaatar / Urgoo hotel / equivalen (standard twin/double rooms).
09:30 Breakfast at the hotel.
10:30 Meeting with your guide in the hotel lobby.
11:30 First walk around the city: currency exchange, purchasing a local SIM card.
Free time for lunch (on your own).
15:00–18:00 Guided walking tour will take you through the heart of the city, including Sukhbaatar Square and the Gandantegchinlen Monastery – the main center of Buddhist worship in Mongolia.

Ulaanbaatar – Kharkhorin

09:00 Departure from the hotel to Kharkhorin (380 km by minibus).
Our first stop will be the tranquil Lower Ovgon Monastery, still alive with Buddhist practice.
Then you will hike up to the atmospheric ruins of Upper Ovgon – a perfect spot to imagine Mongolia's spiritual past. This detour will take about 2.5 hours.
Lunch will be at a roadside café serving traditional Mongolian cuisine (independent).
By 19:00 you'll arrive in Kharkhorin hotel Ikh Khorum / Asa Land Resort / equivalent (standard twin/double rooms).
Check-in and rest.

A walking tour of Kharkhorin

10:00–17:00/18:00 A walking tour of Kharkhorin. The program includes: a visit to Mongolia's oldest monastery – Erdene-Zuu, a walk through the ruins of the legendary city of Karakorum, a tour of the local history museum, and a scenic stroll in the Orkhon River Valley.

Kharkhorin – Ulaanbaatar: Across the Steppes to the Sands of Mini-Gobi

09:00 Departure from the hotel to Ulaanbaatar (380 km by minibus).
Along the way, we will make a stop at the Mini-Gobi Desert (Mongol-Els) – a unique spot where endless steppes give way to golden sand dunes.
Here you can stroll along the dunes, take stunning photos with eagles and vultures (real birds of prey!), and enjoy optional camel or horse riding.
Lunch will be at a roadside café serving traditional Mongolian cuisine (independent).
19:00 Estimated arrival in Ulaanbaatar. Hotel check-in and free time.

Ulaanbaatar – Genghis Khan Equestrian Statue – Gorkhi-Terelj National Park – Ulaanbaatar – Airport

09:00 Departure from the hotel. A full day awaits in Gorkhi-Terelj National Park – one of Mongolia's most scenic destinations.
Along the way, we will visit the Dinosaur Stone Sculpture Park, see the famous Turtle Rock (a naturally formed rock in a remarkable shape), and climb to the Aryabal Buddhist Monastery perched on a hilltop.
The highlight of the day is the world's largest equestrian statue of Genghis Khan (40 meters tall), towering over the endless steppe.
Lunch and dinner will be at a roadside café serving traditional Mongolian cuisine (independent).
20:30 Departure to the airport.
22:00 Arrival at Ulaanbaatar Airport.
02:00 (Day 6) Flight departure to Irkutsk.
