Tour dates:
07:50 Arrival by train in Petrozavodsk. Meet and greet with the group.
Breakfast at a hotel restaurant (buffet style).
Transfer to the starting point of the route, a lodge in the settlement of Chalna (~25 km). A stop at a hypermarket on the way.
Arrival at the lodge. Check-in.
The guest house is situated in a quiet, cozy spot in the forest, 2 km from Chalna. It is near a river, with many small lakes and a hunting reserve nearby.

Safety briefing and instructions on snowmobile operation for the route.
The group will be accompanied by an instructor on a separate snowmobile.

Ice riding & lake traverse: accessing the ice and riding across lakes, depending on ice conditions.
Guided snowmobile tour (radial forest route): Chalna – Lake Verkhneye Padozero – Lake Pelgalampli – Lake Lipchagskoye – Urochishche Rechka – Padozerka River – Chalna (80 km total).
This route takes you along forest trails, frozen woodland lakes, and snow-covered marshes. You will navigate ascents and descents, cross semi-dilapidated bridges, and traverse forest lakes.
Picnic-style lunch near a forest lake.
Continuation of the snowmobile route.
Return to the guest house.
Traditional russian banya: authentic wood-fired sauna experience.
Dinner.

Snowmobile tour (radial route): Chalna – Urochishche Rechka – Lake Tedrilampi – Utuki Village – Verkhnyaya Lamba Village – «Marcial Waters» Resort – Urochishche Rechka – Chalna (110 km total).
On this route, you will visit the resort «Marcial Waters», where you can taste the water from 3 healing springs.
The first russian resort «Marcial Waters» was founded by Peter the Great in 1719 based on ferruginous mineral springs. The springs are named «Marcial Waters» in honor of Mars, the ancient Roman god of war and iron. Peter the Great repeatedly visited the resort for treatment with his family and court nobility.
Excursion to the resort local History Museum.
We will see the Church of the Apostle Peter in the Marcial Waters settlement (built in 1721).
Lunch at a resort cafe.
The snowmobile ride will take place on forest roads, with plans to traverse challenging, rugged forest sections.
Along the way, you will see numerous small Karelian lakes («lambushki»), snow-covered marshes, and the Karelian taiga.
* Upon request, winter fishing can be arranged on Lake Tedrilampi (Must be pre-arranged).
18:00 Return to the guest house. Rest and relaxation.
Traditional russian banya: wood-fired sauna experience with herbal tea from Karelian herbs.

Departure by snowmobiles on the route: Chalna Village – Rechka Tract – Nimozero Lake – Karbozero Lake – Katych Lake – Lagilampi Lake – Rechka Tract – Chalna Village (~90 km).
Experience a true digital detox: there is practically no cellular connection on the route.
We suggest trying to live through this snowmobile day with minimal use of communication devices: immerse yourself in the «moment» and «feel» this world!
The extensive lake system along the route is connected by esker ridges from the Ice Age (ancient formations in the form of elongated ridges of sand and gravel).
Ancient forest roads will lead us into the untouched Karelian taiga. Diverse terrain, descents and ascents, the expanses of snow-covered marshes – we will have it all today!
Along the way, we will stop at small forest lakes called «lambas». Enjoy the pristine nature of Karelia during the journey!
En route: lunch-snack in nature by a campfire on a forest lake.
Continuation of the snowmobile route.
Return to the guest house in Chalna Village.
Return of equipment and snowmobile.
Shower. Check-out from the cottage.

Transfer to the city of Petrozavodsk (25 km).
Departure by evening trains.

The group lives in a guest house which is located 25 km from the capital of Karelia, Petrozavodsk, and 2 km from the Chalna settlement.
This guest house is a two-story, hand-built pine log cottage situated in a quiet, cozy forest setting, near a stream.
