Combined tour «The Land of Bears and Volcanoes»
During the tour you will visit the unique places of Kamchatka: Lake Dvukhyurtochnoe, where you will watch the fishing of brown bears, white-shouldered eagles, the course and spawning of salmon. You can go fishing and taste red fish dishes.
You will cross Kamchatka from South to North and, moving from one climatic zone to another, will get to Central Kamchatka, the location of the largest volcanoes in Eurasia.
Dvukhyurtochnoye Lake, surrounded on all sides by rocky mountains, it is one of the largest spawning reservoirs in Kamchatka. Annually 120–150 thousands sockeye salmon come here to spawn. About 500 brown bears gather on the shores of the lake and along tributaries for fishing and fattening before hibernation. Here, in the conditions of the real life of the beast, it is possible to observe how bears fish. Also you can observe white-shouldered eagles, otters, foxes and minks, which also go out to the lake and to feed.
This is a great place for photo hunting and effective salmon fishing.
The tourist and recreational base «Dvukhyurtochnaya» consists of six residential wooden houses with two-four-bed rooms and a large kitchen-dining room. Toilets on the street. There is a beautiful thermal bath available at any time of the day. The base is located in a valley, on a huge thermal platform, saturated with griffins and hot springs of various strengths.

TOUR ITINERARY
Day 1. Arrival to Kamchatka
Arrival to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. Meeting with an English speaking guide at the airport.
Transfer to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky (25 km).
On the way there will be an opportunity to take pictures against the background of the Koryaksky, Avachinsky volcanoes and the legendary sculptural composition «Bears // Russia begins here».
Also it's possible to visit a fish market.
Accommodation at the hotel 3*.
Rest. Walking around the city.
Meeting with the guide, discussion of the program (at 20:00, or upon the arrival at the hotel).

Day 2. Camel Mountain. Departure to Malki village
Breakfast at the hotel.
Check-out.
Trip to the mountain plateau between Avachinsky and Koryaksky Volcano (25 km asphalt road + 20 km on the cinder expanse of the «dry river» with stops for photos of classic conical shape volcanoes).
Walking to the Camel Mountain (2–3 hours with an altitude gain of about 200 metres).
The ascent to the saddle between the «humps» of the «Camel» is not difficult and can be done by anyone. From here you can enjoy stunning views of the surrounding volcanoes and panoramas of the Nalychevskaya Valley and the expanse of Avacha Bay with its surrounding settlements.
You can make wondefull photos of mountain landscapes and ground squirrels (evrazhek).
Lunch-boxes with hot tea.
After excursions transfer to the village of Malki (130 km) by bus (Ural/Kamaz).
Setting up a tent camp on the protected territory of the tour camp wuth thermal pools.
Bathing in the thermal hot water pools.
Dinner.

Day 3. Sharp and Flat Tolbachik volcanoes. Acclimatization walk along the spurs of Kleshnya mountain
Breakfast at the tent camp.
Transfer by off-road vehicle to the area of the Kliuchevskoi group of volcanoes (460 km).
Lunch in the cafe of Milkovo village (paid on spot).
Departure to the foot of the most beautiful volcanic massif formed by volcanoes Ostry and Plosky Tolbachik.
On the way in a good weather there is a view of the highest volcanoes of Kamchatka: Krestovsky (4057m), Ushkovsky (3903m), Kliuchevsky (4750m), Kamen (4579m), Plosky Tolbachik (3082m) and Ostry Tolbachik (3672m).
Setting up a tent camp on the territory of the camping site «Lavovy Potok». (The camping has a big basic tent-dining room – «cabin-compartment» with a wood stove, a water washbasin and a full-fledged running shower!!!).
Easy acclimatization walk (1–1.5 hours) along the spurs of the mountain Kleshnya. Photographing ground squirrels (evrazhek), who come at arm's length.
Dinner in the «cabin-compartment».

Day 4. Hiking. Eruption of the 2013. Car trip to the North Breakthrough
Breakfast at the tent camp.
Hiking with inspection and examination of the consequences of the 2013 eruption: the «young» Naboka cone, extensive fresh lava flows, giant volcanic bombs, caves (lava vents), stone sculptures and piles of frozen lava (4–5 hours).
Picnic.
For lunch returning to the camp.
Car trip to the North Breakthrough. Easy ascension to the Tolbachinsky cones, which are volcanoes in miniature, has height 100–200 meters and composed of lavas of various colours, from red-brown to matte black.
Despite the fact that the cones were formed by the 1975 eruption, there are still a few hot spots on the summit where you can light a dry wood chip by simply placing it in a hot crack.
Returning to the camp.

Day 5. Moving on to the South Gap. «Dead Forest». Transfer to Kozyrevsk
Breakfast at the tent camp.
Moving on to the South Gap (10 km). Visit to the Star (Zvezda) Cone with lava caves.
A walk through the «Dead Forest» destroyed by slag and ash eruptions in 1975.
Transfer to the village of Kozyrevsk, located on the bank of the Kamchatka River (70 km, 3 hours).
Accommodation in a private tourist shelter, in wooden guest housed (multi-bed).

Day 6. Flight to Lake Dvukhyurtochnoe
Breakfast.
Helicopter flight to the mountain lake Dvukhyurtochnoye (40 minutes).
During the flight you will see the panorama of Klyuchevskoy group of volcanoes, as well as volcanoes Shiveluch, Alney and Chashakonja.
Accommodation at the tour camp «Dvukhurnaya» in wooden houses, rooms for 2–3 people.
Bathing in healing waters of hot springs.
Lunch. Rest.
Walking (900 m) to the bank of the mountain river Dvuhyurtochnaya for watching the bears catching the fish for spawning.

Day 7. Lake Dvukhyurtochnoe
Breakfast.
Bear watching and rune course salmon. Salmon fishing on the lake.
The bears' daily routine: at night they fish and eat, and during the day sleep and rest. So it will be possible to watch the bears in the morning and in the evening.
In the middle of the day, when bears scatter from the river for afternoon sleeping, you can swim in hot springs, fish on the lake, walk around the base and just relax.

Day 8. Morning bear watching. Kozyrevsk. Esso settlement
Breakfast.
Morning bear watching.
Rest and helicopter flight to Kozyrevsk settlement. During the flight you can admire the spurs of Alnei volcano. You will see frozen lava flows of Chashakonja volcano.
Transfer to Esso settlement (it is called «Kamchatka Switzerland» / 88 km, 1 hour).

Rest, bathing in the pool with thermal water.
Visit to the aboriginal camp, excursion programme with lunch (or dinner) of traditional national dishes of venison and salmon (extra charge).

Day 9. Petropavlovsk. Hot springs
Breakfast at the hotel.
In the morning, optional small rafting or horseback riding (extra charge).
Transfer to Petropavlovsk by bus (580 km). The road is very fascinating, as it passes among the hills, birch forests and through the floodplains of mountain rivers. You can always stop for a panoramic and memorable photo.
Stop for lunch in the village of Milkovo (lunch in a cafe is paid independent).
On the way stop for bathing at the therapeutic radon thermal springs «Goryachiy Klyuch« (or at Malkinskie natural hot springs with bathing in puddles-bathing pools).
Bathing in natural wild thermal «puddle baths» will leave no one indifferent. From our guests experience we know that they often look at these springs with disbelief at first, but then they get a lot of pleasure from the sensations you get from the hot water jets beating from the bottom between stones and pebbles. (Unfortunately, there are few natural springs available, «un-refined», where thermal water comes directly from the depths of the earth even in Kamchatka).
Close to the hot springs there is the mountain river Klyuchevka (10 meters distance). Especially brave people will be able to alternate bathing in hot and icy water.
After bathing we will stop in the village of Sokochi, which is nicknamed «Pie Paradise» by local drivers. Here you can have lunch (meals in the cafe are paid independent), taste the famous «Sokochinsky» pies / belyashi / chebureks (there is a huge choice in numerous cafes).
Arrival in Petropavlovsk. Accommodation in a 3* hotel, rest.

Day 10. Free day. Optional excursions

On this day you can choose one of the optional excursions.
It is possible to make helicopter excursion to the Valley of Geysers (5–6 hours).
Or boat trip «Whales, Orcas and Steller sea lions of Russkaya Bay» (10–12 hours, combined group).
Or any other one-day excursion. (Excursions are booked together with the tour).
