Combined tour «The Land of bears and volcanoes»
During the tour you will visit the unique places of Kamchatka: Lake Dvukhyurtochnoe, where you will watch the fishing of brown bears, white-shouldered eagles, the course and spawning of salmon. You can go fishing and taste red fish dishes.
You will cross Kamchatka from South to North and, moving from one climatic zone to another, will get to Central Kamchatka, the location of the largest volcanoes in Eurasia.
Dvukhyurtochnoye Lake, surrounded on all sides by rocky mountains, it is one of the largest spawning reservoirs in Kamchatka. Annually 120–150 thousands sockeye salmon come here to spawn. About 500 brown bears gather on the shores of the lake and along tributaries for fishing and fattening before hibernation. Here, in the conditions of the real life of the beast, it is possible to observe how bears fish. Also you can observe white-shouldered eagles, otters, foxes and minks, which also go out to the lake and to feed.
This is a great place for photo hunting and effective salmon fishing.
The tourist and recreational base «Dvukhyurtochnaya» consists of six residential wooden houses with two-four-bed rooms and a large kitchen-dining room. Toilets on the street. There is a beautiful thermal bath available at any time of the day. The base is located in a valley, on a huge thermal platform, saturated with griffins and hot springs of various strengths.

TOUR ITINERARY
Day 1. Arrival to Kamchatka
Arrival to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. Meeting with an English speaking guide at the airport.
Transfer to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky (25 km).
On the way there will be an opportunity to take pictures against the background of the Koryaksky, Avachinsky volcanoes and the legendary sculptural composition «Bears // Russia begins here».
Also it's possible to visit a fish market.
Accommodation at the hotel 3*.
Rest. Walking around the city.
Meeting with the guide, discussion of the program (at 20:00, or upon the arrival at the hotel).

Day 2. Optional excursions. Departure to Milkovo village
Breakfast at the hotel.
Time for optional excursions:*
– Helicopter excursion to the Valley of Geysers and Uzon Volcano Caldera
– Boat trip to Avacha Bay and the Pacific Ocean
(excursions are booked together with the tour).
After excursions transfer to the village of Milkovo (280 km, 3–4 hours) by bus (Ural/Kamaz).
On the way stop for dinner in the village of Sokochi (dinner at the cafe is paid independently).

Day 3. Kozyrevsk. Flight to Lake Dvukhyurtochnoe
Early breakfast.
Transfer to the Kozyrevsk village (195 km, 2.5 hours) and helicopter flight to the mountain lake Dvukhyurtochnoye (40 minutes).
During the flight you will see the panorama of Klyuchevskoy group of volcanoes, as well as volcanoes Shiveluch, Alney and Chashakonja.
Accommodation at the tour camp «Dvukhurnaya» in wooden houses, rooms for 2–4 people.
Bathing in healing waters of hot springs.
Lunch. Rest.
Walking (900 m) to the bank of the mountain river Dvuhyurtochnaya for watching the bears catching the fish for spawning.

Day 4. Lake Dvukhyurtochnoe
Bear watching and rune course salmon. Salmon fishing on the lake.
The bears' daily routine: at night they fish and eat, and during the day sleep and rest. So it will be possible to watch the bears in the morning and in the evening.
In the middle of the day, when bears scatter from the river for afternoon sleeping, you can swim in hot springs, fish on the lake, walk around the base and just relax.

Day 5. Helicopter flight to Kozyrevsk.Sharp and Flat Tolbachik volcanoes. North breakthrough. Ascension the Tolbachinsky cones
Morning bear watching.
Helicopter flight to the Kozyrevsk village. During the flight you will be able to admire the spurs of the Alnei Volcano. You will see the frozen lava flows of the Chashakonja Volcano.
Transfer to the foot of the most beautiful volcanic massif formed by the volcanoes Sharp and Flat Tolbachik (90 km, 4 hours).
On the way, in a good weather, you can see the highest volcanoes of Kamchatka: Krestovsky (4057 m), Ushkovsky (3903 m), Klyuchevskoy (4750 m), Kamen (4579 m), Flat Tolbachik (3082 m) and Sharp Tolbachik (3672 m).
Accommodation in glamping on the plateau of the Large fractured Tolbachinsky eruption of the BTTI 1975–1976 (Great Tolbachik Fissure Eruption), in tent spheres with wonderful views directly on the Dead Forest and on the tops of the Tolbachik and Udina volcanoes (5–7 people each sphere).
Car trip to the North Breakthrough (8 km). Simple ascension to the Tolbachinsky cones, which are volcanoes in miniature, their height is 100–200 meters.
Thematic dinner in a cozy cafe-cabin – in a giant transparent tent with panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and volcanoes.

Day 6. Hiking. Eruption of the 2013
Hiking. Inspection and examination of the consequences of the 2013 eruption: the «young» cone, extensive fresh lava flows, lava caves, stone sculptures, and piles of frozen lava (5–6 hours).

Day 7. «Dead Forest». The Zvezda Cone. Milkovo village
A walk through the «Dead Forest» destroyed by slag and ash eruptions in 1975. Visiting the Zvezda (Star) Cone.
Transfer to the village of Milkovo, located on the bank of the Kamchatka River (240 km, 6–7 hours).

Walking around one of the oldest settlements of the Kamchatka Territory, founded in the XVIII century on the basis of the prison of the Itelmen – the indigenous inhabitants of Kamchatka.

Day 8. Petropavlovsk. Malkin hot springs
Breakfast.
Transfer to Petropavlovsk by car (290 km, 4–5 hours). The road is very fascinating, as it passes among the hills, birch forests and through the floodplains of mountain rivers. You can always stop for a panoramic and memorable photo.
Visiting the Malkin natural hot springs with swimming in puddles-baths.
Bathing in natural wild thermal «puddle baths» will not leave anyone indifferent. From our experience guests often look with some disbelief at these springs, but then they get a lot of pleasure from the hot water streams gushing from the bottom between the stones and pebbles. (Unfortunately, there are few available, «un-refined» natural springs, where thermal water comes directly from the depths of the earth, even in Kamchatka).
Close to the hot springs there is the mountain river Klyuchevka (10 meters distance). Especially brave people will be able to alternate bathing in hot and icy water.
After swimming we will stop in the village of Sokochi, which is nicknamed «Pie Paradise» by local drivers. Here you can have lunch (meals in the cafe are paid independent), taste the famous «Sokochinsky» pies / belyashi / chebureks (there is a huge choice in numerous cafes).
Arrival in Petropavlovsk. Accommodation in a 3* hotel, rest.

Day 9. Free day. Optional excursions
On this day you can choose one of the optional excursions.
It is possible to make helicopter excursion to the Valley of Geysers (if it was impossible to make it on the day 2) (5–6 hours).
Or boat trip (5–6 hours) as a part of a combined group «Whales, Orcas and Steller sea lions of Russkaya Bay» (10–12 hours).
Or any other one-day excursion. (Excursions are booked together with the tour).
